| Paul Revere was an artist who created "useful" art. See if you can create a piece of "useful" art, maybe a pencil holder! | |
Teach Art? |
Art helps your child develop in many different ways. Physically, it helps develop coordination, motor abilites, and spatial judgements. Perceptual development occurs as your child learns to use their senses to gather information. Creativity is nutured as your child looks at different ways of expressing thoughts and emotions. Socially, the art room allows for the exchange of ideas, sharing supplies, and working together. The cultural aspect of art allows for the blending and appreciating of the ethnic diversity of our school and our community. Last but not least, art stimultes skills in abstract thinking. This is a direct link and support of our classroom academics. |
